Soffit & Fascia

Along with vinyl siding many homeowners have the soffit and fascia covered to eliminate any painting. This makes it a completely maintenance free exterior. The soffit can be vinyl or aluminum. The soffit comes in up to 25 different colors so you can match or accent the vinyl siding, the roof or whatever you choose. The soffit has several styles form a "beaded" " to a "hidden vent" style. Normally vented soffit is used on the areas where some kind of vent exists. If you see vents in your existing soffit, vented soffit should be installed there. For gables, which are usually "dead" soffit because they don't ventilate anything, solid soffit can be used. The fascia also comes in several styles and finishes. Vinyl fascia is pre made and is usually for a flat fascia and only comes in a few colors and sizes. Aluminum coil, in either smooth or PVC coated, is used to make custom fascia. Custom fascia is bent in a "brake" so it will conform to all the bends and angles to duplicate the existing fascia. Some fascia has trim at the top and needs to be custom bent to cover completely. Fascia also comes in about 25 different colors to match or accent the soffit, siding or the roof. Vinyl fascia is pre formed so it will not be modified and can only be used on matching surfaces.

Hardie Board Siding

Hardie board siding is a concrete based fiber board. It is becoming very popular for exterior siding. Hardie board siding "plank" lap siding comes in a variety of looks and textures, all of which are engineered to look like wood siding. Hardie board siding "shingle" siding looks like wood or cedar shingles (shakes) and also come in a variety of decorative edges to give you an assortments of looks. Hardie board siding "vertical" gives you the look of board and battan vertical siding, which is usually replacing the look of flat plywood walls with a 1x2 every 2 or 4 feet, vertically, to cover seams. All three hardie board siding styles, lap siding, shingle siding and vertical siding, come with a 30-year nonprorated, transferable, limited warranty.
